hi... i currently have a rh8.0 server that is a little messed up!! i need to know what's the best/right process to upgrade to the latest python/mod_python, and any associated libs....
i need to make sure that i don't break the gnome/httpd, or any other python dependent app... currently i have different versions on the box, but it appears when i do a $>python, i get the older version... which is not what i need/want!!! so, i'm asking, what's the best process for doing an update. i've tried 'yum update' but it gives some sort of baseurl error... 'apt-get' doesn't seem to work either... however. if you suggest that these tools would be the best approach, would these tools actually get all required dependencies/etc... thanks.. bruce -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
