Why use coroutines?

def parser(score):
    for i in xrange(1, 6):
        yield i
        if score(i):
            print "%d passed!" % i

def is_odd(n):
    return n % 2

def m():
    for i in parser(is_odd):
        # Presumably do something here...
        pass
