It's an eclipse bug in 3.3.1.1: see: http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.platform.rcp/msg28728.html and the follow up: http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.platform.rcp/msg28733.html (until then you can use the pydev package explorer / project explorer).
