I grew up talking octal, and while I'm still more comfortable in octal than hex (newline to me is always going to be 012, not 0xA), even a luddite like myself recognizes that hex just makes more sense in a 8/16/32/64-bit world. -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
