how can i save my command prompt screen?

On Windows, 2.4?+, right click upper left snake symbol, Edit/Select all (or Mark and select part), <enter> (not ^C as everywhere else -- thank MS for not following its standard) to save to clipboard. Then paste into notepad or whatever.

MUCH EASIER: Use IDLE, select and ^C to clipboard as usual, or if you want everything, File/SaveAS to give your interactive session a name. Save periodically just as you would with an edit window to save new stuff. (But you cannot delete unless you exit and open the saved session in an edit window.
