Python is a popular, open-source, cross-platform, general-purpose programming language with a large standard library that is often used in web programming. Popular Python web frameworks include TurboGears and Django. WhizBase appears to be a proprietary, Windows-only, database-centric web macro language (or proper programming language perhaps, I didn't investigate deeply).
