On behalf of the Python community, I'm happy to announce the availability of Python 2.6.5 final. This is the latest production-ready version in the Python 2.6 series.
Python 2.6.5 fixes dozens of issues in the core, built-in modules, libraries,
and documentation since Python 2.6.4 was released back in October 2009. We
highly recommend that you upgrade to Python 2.6.5.
