Because, unfortunately, winning arguments seems to be the main objective of
some posters rather than exchanging information and ideas. Their posts are
intended to be the last word on a subject, whatever its relevance.
Unsurprisingly, their last words aren't last words longer than it takes
another member of their fraternity to rank it second last.
