Use the standard installer from python.org if you want to do things with the registry. The standard installer sets up the registry for you so that the interpreter will be associated with *.py/*.pyw files. If you tell us why you are using Portable Python, we can help you accomplish whatever it is you're trying to accomplish with it. Much of what you seem to want to do defeats the purpose of Portable Python.
