There is a Capetown Python User Group and a Gauteng Python User Group. They both use Google Groups for communication - http://groups.google.com/group/ctpug. http://groups.google.com/group/gpugsa It is worth subscribing to both. Jobs are advertised from time to time (mostly in Capetown). Have a look through the archives. Both groups organise monthly meetings - a good opportunity to mix with other Python developers.
