Duh! That was the point of his analogy, Ian. *ALL* Python programmers need the patches. Whether or not they possess the skill to create them is irrelevant. But the baby is not the only victim if the diapers are not changed. Imagine the foul odors that "rumors of bugginess" will emit into the household, and if unchecked long enough, out into the neighborhood. A some point a social worker will be dispatched, and the baby will be taken away to a home that provides the necessary sanitary conditions.
