I thought I had programming covered when I entered college. I wondered if I'd be wasting my time and just collecting my diploma. However, after every year I realized I hadn't understood anything the year before. There was just such a wealth of understanding I never would have been able to come up with on my own. Then I graduated and joined the workforce. Since then, I have learned a thing or two, but I learned more during my first year in college than I have during the 25 since I left.
