Ok, I think I ran into this about a year ago when this was suggested back then.
I entered “pip install pandas” I am told to “install Anaconda which can be deleted later” (huh?) Then it tells me “Installing with “Miniconda” (huh? Huh?) Then “Installing from PyPl which is what I used to get the same page that is telling me all this… ActivePython, then finally Linux which I am not using. Ok, then I see: Installing from source See the contributing guide for complete instructions on building from the git source tree. Further, see creating a development environment if you wish to create a pandas development environment. And the music goes round and round…..
