I'm reading/posting via the mailing list. You imply (via "this list")
that you're reading a usenet news group? If so, then the gateway seems
to be working in at least one direction.
Apparently, people have grown tired of the efficiency and lack of ads
on usenet and mailing lists and have migrated to web-based fora where
they can revel in the ultra-low S/N ratio, the AI hallucinations, the
ads, and the massive amount of time you waste nagivated the hidious
UIs.
Or, Dog Forbid, they're trying to learn about things like programming
lanugages by watching Youtube videos. [Talk about the worst possible
medium for a particular subject...]
