You even don't have to install Python on your system. Michael Foord created Movable Python (http://www.voidspace.org.uk/python/movpy/), which allows you to carry a full python distribution and more to be carried around on a USB stick. You can copy it to a folder on your harddisk. Just delete the folder when you're done. This is very handy when you're travelling and don't want to carry a laptop around.
