If it has the x bit set you will have to do something like this: sudo ./uninstall_wxPython.py Otherwise pass "python" explicitly: sudo python uninstall_wxPython.py I think that it is going to wipe out all your wxPython installs...so you will need to reinstall the version you wanted.
