Am a python newbie. Does python have a native way to communicate with a PC serial port? I found that pyserial needs java.
I am using Linux..CentOS 4.2, to be exact, no java installed and zilch/no/none/maybe never experience of java too. I have an application where I want to resd logs from the serial port of an EPABX and log them to a postgreSQL database. What's the best way to do this using python?
