Thanks very much for the info! I'll give the 'localhost' a try again and see if I was creating problems elsewhere, perhaps with the commands themselves. (All I know for sure is that I created a MySQL database and filled it with baseball statistics, so I know *that* exists, at least! But it was created from the MySQL prompt itself, not using Python.)
