Hi, I am using a HLHDF C wrapper to extract data from HDF (version 5) files. I can view the contents with IDL, for example, and read the attributes in the HDF file. There is one attribute that I extracted and only of part of the string was returned. In the HDF file, the attribute data is a name which is called "baseline" but when python reads it, it returns "baselin" instead. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
