python-hypothesis, python-pluggy and python-importlib-metadata need new upstream versions to support python 3.8. I checked that a combination of

  python-hypothesis 4.36.2
  python-pluggy 0.13.0
  python-importlib-metadata 0.23

works together. the most recent python-hypothesis 4.41.x requires a new python-attrs, that's why I went with 4.36.2. Please update to these new versions.
