The current upstream version of this package is 1.19.0 from March 28, 2021. Also, the homepage given in the Debian package tracker is not correct anymore. The current one is https://github.com/tlocke/pg8000 (as announced on the one currently mentioned as the homepage in the debian package tracker). If you need help doing this update, please let me know.
