Package: libapache2-mod-python2.3
Version: 3.1.3-1
Severity: important

Hi!

I just installed apache2 and mod_python from scratch (no older
versions, no apache 1.3, etc.) with

   apt-get install libapache2-mod-python apache2-mpm-worker

debconf asked me whether to enable mod_python in apache2, I agreed to
that (BTW: what sense does it make to disable this by default? I don't
want to install it because I have too much space on my HD!)

However, the symlink is not set:

$ ls /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/
userdir.conf

The reason is certainly that despite my 'yes' answer, the value of the
debconf setting is false:

------- /var/cache/debconf/config.dat ----------
[...]
Name: libapache2-mod-python/enable_module
Template: libapache2-mod-python/enable_module
Value: false
Owners: libapache2-mod-python2.3
Flags: seen
[...]
------------------------------------------------

I'm 100% sure that I chose 'yes', I tried it three times now.

I did not find anything unusual in the config and postinst script; if
this is a debconf bug, please feel free to reassign.

Thanks,

Martin

libapache2-mod-python2.3 was removed from Debian, and
libapache2-mod-python doesn't show this behavior, hence closing this
bug.

Thanks for the report,
Sandro
