I installed jupyter-notebook and by extension python3-ipykernel. When I start jupyter-notebook and create a new notebook using Python 3 kernel, I get the following warnings : [I 11:45:10.392 NotebookApp] Kernel started: b6878ff1-46dd-4854-a6b4-96ae76ae8dc3 /usr/bin/python: No module named ipykernel_launcher [I 11:45:13.393 NotebookApp] KernelRestarter: restarting kernel (1/5) /usr/bin/python: No module named ipykernel_launcher [I 11:45:16.397 NotebookApp] KernelRestarter: restarting kernel (2/5) /usr/bin/python: No module named ipykernel_launcher [I 11:45:19.401 NotebookApp] KernelRestarter: restarting kernel (3/5) /usr/bin/python: No module named ipykernel_launcher Then it stops with a message saying that the kernel has died.
