No consolation, I'm sure, but I recently installed exactly
the same version on my XP desktop (SP2, in case it matters)
without problems. Have you tried ActiveState? They're only
on 2.4.1, but unless you're after a particular bugfix I
doubt it'll matter. At least it's a different packaging.
