This argument and personal attack ('not fit for the job') holds no water and is
a good way to demotivate folks.The bug might be annoying, but it's not fatal.
The tool still does work, only with worse than optimum performance.
It might be the case that the maintainer has more important things to do,
so do not push others. Rather, help out. You reported the bug, so why don't you
invest time to also find the cause ?
