Can anyone point me to a tutorial or documentation on writing a python  
shape node (MPxSurfaceShape)  in maya?

There are a few examples plugins but I really can't tell from them how they 
work. Do I create my geometry/vertices in def geometry(self)?


Any help would be greatly appreciated.
