You will probably need to insert the path to a directory that contains your 
custom "MayaStartupImage.png" into the XBMLANGPATH environment variable, 
but before maya starts up. Maya.env would work, but then everyone's 
Maya.env would need to update. Maybe everyone could use some maya wrapper 
program that could set this environment var, and then start up maya?
