So I got the modules loading by using the following in my maya.env PYTHONPATH=%PYTHONPATH%;%MAYA_LOCATION%;C:\Python27;C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages ;C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\dateutil;C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib;C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\numpy
