PyCon UK EuroPython RuPy (a combined Ruby and Python event) Euro DjangoCon You'll find people in the group who've been to some or all of them, so ask around if you want first-hand accounts. I was at PyCon UK in 2008 and EuroPython in 2009. (Sorry for the lagged response! I back from vacation and having a busy week.)
