Hi, I was talking to Kevin Gill in IRC this morning and I raised the possibility of us having a Hack Day. I thought this would be a good idea, as it's a great way to generate some energy in a community, and it means people can join in remotely even if they can't make it to a meetup/unconference/etc.
My suggestion was that we check out the Python bug database[1] and work through some of the low hanging fruit[2]. I am unfamiliar with the workings of the Python dev team, but they do document how to contribute[3]. Do people think this would be a good community activity? I'll be on IRC tomorrow at 11AM if anyone wants to chat about this. Cheers, -John [1] http://bugs.python.org/ [2] http://bugs.python.org/issue?status=1&@sort=-activity&@dispname=Easy%20issues&@startwith=0&@filter=&@group=priority&@columns=id,activity,title,creator,status&keywords=6&@action=search&@pagesize=50 [3] http://www.python.org/dev/contributing/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Python Ireland" group.
