Hi All, Zeth totally up for Irish Pythonistas to tag along. I didn't know that someone mentioned doing a PyConUK up in Belfast, that would have been really cool!
Oh they are mentioning Santandar in the thread... here's one of the replies: I've just been mailed details of a ferry deal that might be relevant. In brief it is a return by Brittany ferries from Portsmouth to Santander, for £159 return two sharing an inside en-suite cabin. Runs until late March. (Which I think is when they transfer the boat to Plymouth Santander for the summer.) http://emails.aferry.com/UK/January2013/news1.htm?utm_source=visits_UKJanuary2013_v1&utm_medium=eshot&utm_campaign=ferry You can sign up to PyCon UK's mailing list if you want to follow-up with the conversation. It's hard for me to post the different threads, but I will try and keep ye posted. If you have ideas as well, I can post on behalf of you, it's a copy&paste jobby anyway, so that's no problem. :-) Cheers, /// Vicky Python Ireland <http://python.ie/> co-Chair / Treasurer EuroPython Board<https://ep2012.europython.eu/blog/2012/07/08/change-board-europython-society> PSF member <http://pyfound.blogspot.ie/2012/08/welcome-new-psf-members.html> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Zeth <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Jan 24, 2013 at 5:50 PM Subject: Re: [pyconuk] Spanish PyCon trip To: Mailing list for the PyCon UK conference <[email protected]> On 4 January 2013 19:34, Vicky Lee - Python Ireland <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi All, > > I mentioned this to the Irish Pythonistas, and they are interested as well! > I wonder if we can have a UK/Ireland PyCon. :-D If you fly into Southampton or Gatwick or wherever, it is easy enough, but it is (in theory) possible to get on the boat at Cork, and then have a day trip in France before going to the UK, picking up the UK Pythonistas, and carrying onto Spain, but you will end up on the boat for the whole week... _______________________________________________ pyconuk mailing list [email protected] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/pyconuk --
