Hey everyone,

Clojure Ireland is holding its first ever meetup. Everyone is welcome - you
don't have to have used Clojure before - just have an interest in
programming and open to learning something new.

Over the years I've found that Pythonistas have always been quite
interested in functional programming and languages like Erlang, Haskell,
Scala, etc so I thought I'd let the list know that we've finally managed to
get a Clojure meetup together! If you are interested, we plan on getting
together on *Nov 27th*.

More details here www.meetup.com/Clojure-Ireland/

For anybody who is not familiar with Clojure, it's a functional language in
the Lisp family which runs on the Java Virtual Machine. It makes heavy use
of the Java ecosystem, so has a large suite of libraries and tools
available. It's particularly popular for server-side development, but can
be found used in all types of uses and can also be found in the browser
(ClojureScript), .NET (ClojureCLR), Python (clojure-py) and others.

All the best,

Dan.
