By now most of you will have purchased your ticket for PyCon Ireland
2014, but in case you haven't we have a small few remaining. With just
11 days until the conference begins, we recommend registering ASAP.
(http://python.ie) I'd like to announce some new details about what we
have planned.
On Saturday night, we are delighted to announce that Ed Deane will be
performing in The Leeson Lounge as part of our entertainment which is
provided by Mandrill. Ed has performed at previous PyCons here in
Ireland as well as with bands such as Skid Row, Bees Make Honey and a
host of other artists throughout his career. Get ready for a night of
Blues and Jazz along with a few drinks. The night kicks off at 9pm after
dinner, and is free for PyCon attendees.
We have reserved an area in Milanos on Haddington Road, Ballsbridge
(10mins walk from hotel) where you can grab some Pizza, Pasta or Salad.
We have very limited spaces, so please inform the volunteers at
registration that you wish to go to Milanos and we will allocate you a
seat. You can have a look at their menu here:

Of course, you are free to have dinner someplace else if you prefer,
however you will need to reserve a table. Some recommendations of
restaurants in the area are: The Farm, Millers Pizza Kitchen, Keshk Cafe
and Orchid Szechuan.
Other events happening over the weekend include a book signing by Ian
Ozsvald and Harry Percival courtesy of O'Reilly. Ian will be signing
copies of his book, "High Performance Python", and Harry will be signing
his book, "Test-Driven Development with Python". We will have 20 copies
of each book to give away, so keep an eye on the schedule to avail of
this opportunity!
Students are in for a chance to win a Raspberry Pi signed by Eben Upton
during our Raffle.
