Hi everyone, As previously announced http://www.meetup.com/pythonireland/events/202684742/ we're holding our AGM next Wednesday 12th in the Science Gallery from 6:30pm.
I'm putting out a call for those who wish to serve on the committee next year. We need to know who intends to run before the AGM begins, so if you can reply before Tuesday 9AM that would be great. Please specify the position you intend to run for in your email. The positions available are: - Chairperson - Treasurer - Secretary - Ordinary member (minimum of two) It's been a very successful year for Python Ireland and we're very excited by some of the ideas and events we are planning for next year. It's my hope to see events and communities happening outside of Dublin, so that will be a big focus next year. With that in mind, I'd like to put out a request to those who aren't living in Dublin to get involved, having people on the ground able to organise a meetup in their local town or campus is vital to this happening. We are also starting to organise an assistance program for these groups, so you won't be alone organising it. If you can't attend the meetup, you can still put yourself forward for nomination. We will try to have a public hangout available for people to join into the meeting, internet depending. Please reply to [email protected] if you intend to run.
