Hi All,

I'm not sure if you are all aware that PSF members just elected the new
board of directors (and some are not PSF members).

The new PSF board of directors are:
Nick Coghlan, Diana Clarke, Van Lindberg, Lynn Root, Alex Gaynor,
Marc-Andre Lemburg, Carol Willing, Naomi Ceder, Anna Ossowski, Carrie Anne
Philbin, and Ashwini Oruganti.

Lynn and Ashwini were our invited guests at PyCon Ireland 2013. And it's
fantastic to see such a balance and diversity on the PSF board.

You can read more about it via the official PSF blog post:

If you don't know who PSF are, they are the Python Software Foundation
<https://www.python.org/psf/> who are a "non-profit corporation that holds
the intellectual property rights behind the Python programming language."

Their mission is "to promote, protect, and advance the Python programming
language, and to support and facilitate the growth of a diverse and
international community of Python programmers."

If you curious about becoming a PSF member, you can check out more info
here: https://www.python.org/psf/membership/

I don't know if there are other PSF members in Ireland, I would like to
meet others as I'm one also. :-)

Cheers,

/// Vicky
