Maybe while we're at it, we should also patch Info.plist. For this particular build, Python.framework has a CFBundleVersion and CFBundleShortVersionString of 2.2 :)

How bad is that? That is, other than being ugly?

Obviously not very, but Installer as of Mac OS X 10.3 has a requirements scheme that allows you to read keys from Info.plist bundles, so it might come in handy to keep this file synchronized with what it actually should be. It would also be an easy way to detect whether or not it has been patched.
