Of course, "it depends". Dive into Python looks pretty good. Python in a Nutshell contains a vast amount of information. I've heard OK reports of Learning Python. On the other hand, I've managed to avoid owning any books on Python at all apart from the one I tech reviewed 9which sucked). YMMV.
