Well, I don't run any such scripts. It seems to me that it should be the opposite. If you want a script that behaves like an app, you should bundle it as an app. If you just want a script that runs in the background, then it shouldn't need to be bundled up at all (this is generally how mac applications and unix processes work). Ultimately, I think Apple should provide an API for a faceless app to request a "face" when it wants to interact with the user.
