As stated in a previous response to some other kind soul, I get it. I  
understand what he said. For the record:

I have never before modified the OS X system in any way, and if it  
will put an end to this topic I will vow never to do so again. ;-)

Thanks. I guess this is the answer I'm looking for. I'll post on the  
Boa list asking if anyone can get it to work reasonably well, and  
examine alternatives.
