I am afraid that this patch won't cut it. It does a simple test of the os type. The problem is that someone could install a version of python on OS X and want to use the other readline library (for example the OS X python binaries from the python.org website ship with this readline). Somehow, we need to do a test of exactly what readline is installed as well as an os test. But, I won't have Leopard running on my system for a few more weeks so I can't help with this.
Can anyone play around to see if it is possible to detect which readline is installed? Thanks, Brian On 10/29/07, Michael Vanlandingham <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > FWIW, this patch works for me.
