hi, i am new on the mac too, but somehow managed to build mysqldb
as far as i remeber, it requires a mysql installation and the new xcode. i did not install Mysqldb but copied it into my project directory (which now bites back: py2app packages it but python only looks in usr/lib/...) did it build ?
