Are you sure these old ones are still stored in the watch? There is a
limitation of 1000 laps in fore 305 as far as I am aware.

If yes is the answer to previous question, can you please send the log
file (~/.pytrainer/log.out) when executing pytrainer in debug mode
(type '$pytrainer -d' from console without quotes)? (please compress
it!)

I don't understand the point: pytrainer does save activity files
there, but also in dedicated database (tipically
~/.pytrainer/pytrainer.ddbb). Do you mean that files from old times
are there and pytrainer does not recognize them or do you miss those
files in your storage unit?

Did you check the plugin preferences, especially the one that allows
retrieving the complete history? Set Tools -> GPS device plugins ->
"Garmin via garmintools" -> Preferences -> not_older_days to 0
otherwise.
