I have no idea what happened during the weekend when I had my machine
rebooted.
I remember having libusb-win32 1.2.0.0 installed and it was working.
Today it stops working. Going back to 1.1.14.3 (both DLL and Driver
versions) got my program to work again. However, I can't get 1.2.0.0 to
work anymore. I'm running this test program on a XP 32-bit machine, so
based on what I understand about the differences between 1.1.14.3 and
1.2.0.0, the test program should work fine on both versions.
I'll keep investigating. I don't think pyusb has anything to do with
this. Maybe this topic probably should go under the libusb-win32 mailing
lists
