I dont know why but many times I have had "stupid" problems when I was
using python installed via macports instead the - allow me to say - classic
installation. But for sure the 99% of the time the problem was referred to
wrong paths.
I solved all my problem just using Linux (crunchbang - debian based distro)

Anyway, that was my 2 cents contribution...
