According to documentation this chip is a usb printer class device
( http://www.krn.ru/Support/Docs/GMUP/ds_pl2305_v11.pdf ).

Section 5.2 (Printer Class-Specific Device Requests) in this spec tells 
that GET_PORT_STATUS and SOFT_RESET are supported.
