Yes, that's it!! The LDAP domain was not being passed. I followed the instructions at https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/how-correct-pywikibot-ldap-authentication-error-armando-trinchillo and hacked an additional line into pywikibot/data/api.py, and logins now succeed. This issue must be a regression because the domain used to be passed during login. I hope this one-line bugfix makes it into core soon.
