private. Please use exports instead:

Yeah just realized it does not work, before that I only tested with 
product.buildDirectory.

     cpp.defines = ["FOO_PATH=\"" + FooBar.theDir + "\""]

Does not work:

     name: "Foo Bar"
}

     Depends { name: "cpp" }
     Depends { name: "Foo Bar" }
