FYI, the last time I tried to run the latest version of qdvdauthor, everything
seemed to work except that the menu-color was being ignored, and always came
out black.  I also posted to the list the necessary changes to get qdvdauthor
to work with the latest version of ffmpeg that comes with Fedora Core 17 (i.e.
ffmpeg 0.10.6), and was told that the original maintainer was gone, and that no
one is really working on the project any more.  Also, I still have to hand-edit
the generated dvdauthor-configuration file to get things to work properly,
which has been true for a LONG time.

If I had the time and energy, I would love to bring qdvdauthor back to life,
but having to plow through all of that undocumented code really puts me off.
I'll never understand how someone could write so much code and not document any
of it, but that's the norm, not the exception.  Sigh.

Thanks Steven, I will have a look. Sometime soon, I'll have to update
my Debian|Testing installation, and that may wipe out Qdvdauthor, as
has happened in the past. I've managed to get my priority work done
on Qdvdauthor, brief summary: one in four videos has errors, qrender
and the plugins are not available, but it worked well enough.

I will look at editing video streams, and why qrender failed later.

Many thanks

Richard
