Actually, the end result of the operation below puts the physical device in exactly the same state as the guest view of the device. I agree that an improvement to the kernel API would allow us to avoid the brief transition through a single vector enabled and avoid teardown and re-setup any time a new vector is enabled. > > Do you have any actual objections to the patch below?
