I'm afraid -boot once regressed in 1.4, specifically commit e4ada29e. This fix isn't exactly minimal. Should it go into stable anyway? If yes, I'm happy to respin with cc: qemu-stable.
The last patch adds tests. Unfortunately, test coverage sucks: looks like qtest has an extra reset, which makes testing -boot once impossible. Can anyone help with that?
